A step each day

In January, I made a public declaration that I will be posting on Medium each day.

I suppose you are asking if I have written 120 articles on Medium since we have spent not less than 120 days in 2024.

I have not written 120 articles on Medium because after January 17, I quit writing on Medium. Let me say that I didn’t even write each day from January 1 to 17.

One of my ardent readers, Minniehaha Aku Shika Bulley kept sending me messages asking me why I was no longer writing. I went MIA for more than two month on Medium. Of course, I had a beautiful excuse to give her; “Work is not giving me breathing space.”

In April, I stopped giving myself excuses and decided to write again. Work was always going to be there. Even if I were not working, I would never have enough time to write if I don’t discipline myself. There are so many excuses I can give.

The goal to write didn’t change, but I made it more realistic. Instead of writing for 7 days in the week which I couldn’t achieve, I decided to write 5 days in the week.

April has ended and I have seen growth. This growth is gradual. As I take a step each day, I will achieve my goal.

From April 2 to April 30, I wrote 18 articles. These articles were viewed by 507 people. Out of this, 325 people read these articles. I may not know all of these people but I am glad to know that my articles may have inspired or educated my readers.

I have gained 15 additional followers on this platform. When I quit in January 17, I had 16 followers. Now, I have 31 followers on Medium.

I am taking it one step at a time in my writing journey. I am still discovering my unique style of writing.

Did you make a decision to pursue something at the beginning of the year?

Have you been able to do it?

Are you still doing it?

Have you given up on it?

If you have given up on it, it s not too late to restrategize and start.

One step each day is all you need to reach your goal.
